Why puppets? Well, as some of you may know we have a WONDERFUL friend that has been a HUGE help here at PatPat's Hats. This friend also carries the wonderful title of Aunt, and like myself she is a big fan of that title. Becca earned the title of Aunt in August. Just 2 months later her beautiful niece was rushed to the hospital. Since that day in August this beautiful little girl and her parents, and her entire family, have been on a terrifying Roller Coaster Ride.
This little fighter has been through 7 heart surgeries in her 9 moths of life.
Okay, okay I STILL haven't told you "Why Puppets?" So, we all know how incredible doctors, surgeons and nurses are, but are you familiar with the Child Life Department? Child Life are those incredible people that ensure that children in hospitals live as normal a life as possible. So, how do YOU keep an 8 month old occupied. Keep in mind, your 8 month old is hooked up to multiple monitors, has a feeding tube, a beathng tube, and the baby will turn blue if she starts crying. . . . . Yeah, keeping little warriors occupied is NOT easy.
Sooooooo ....... puppets!!!!!!!
We are looking for simple hand or finger puppets. These puppets will be given to Aunt Becca so that her little fighter niece can give these puppets as a gift to the hospital where she was treated and the Ronald McDonald House that has given warmth and comfort to her parents.

Timeline.... so, we would LOVE to have these puppets for July 1st. How many do we need? We will check with Aunt Becca, but I believe this little warrior has spent more than 70 days in the hospital since her diagnosis in August. We would like to have at least that many hats.
Thank you all for continuing to spread joy to children.
