My mind is still racing. Racing with inspiration. It is always inspiring when people get together for a common cause, but something about this particular event was just different. Last year, my sister Jennifer attended The One Hundred Gala to Represent the Avon 39 Youth Crew . When she came home she tried to explain what the event was like, honestly I couldn't have understood until I was actually there.
 | As I walked around the room, I was approached by other honorees. Immediately I was asked "tell me about why you are being honored tonight." It was humbling and inspiring to be considered in the same category as the other in this room. Researchers, Social workers, recent cancer survivors who teaches Yoga to cancer patients, a chef who delivers meals to cancer patients. |

We all make a difference, no matter what we do. To be able to speak with Margaret Foti , the chief executive officer of the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR), the first and largest cancer research organization in the world, and one of the best speakers that I have ever had the pleasure of hearing, and to have her ask ME about PatPat's Hats. . . . That was unreal.
How will I remember this event? throughout the year, I plan to recognize 2 of the honorees each week. Each of these honorees has made amazing contributions to the cancer community.
