Last month I sat in my home listening to the howling wind outside watching news reports on Hurricane Sandy. Eventually I had to stop watching, and I turned on a movie. The next morning I was overwhelmed with what I saw. People lost everything. Like many other times in my life, I felt like I had to do something.
Thankfully, we were able to help. My cousins headed down to Staten Island and took about 100 PatPat's Hats with them.
We also collected hats to send down to New Jersery. Would you believe that the children and staff at Lowell Community Charter School in Lowell,MA collected over 150 hats in just 3 days!!!!
I can only hope that these children that receive these hats will one day pay it forward to others in need.
