One year ago today it began. It began simply enough. A text message from my sister saying that she was bringing Patrick to the ER. The doctor figured he had a virus, but because of Hurricane Irene, she didn't have power in her office to see him.
Then the real storm began.MRI's, Brain Tumors, Surgery, pathology reports, fear, tears, and prayers.
One year later the tears still come sometimes. Tears of Joy, tears of remembrance for the families that we have met along this journey, tears remembering the fear throughout the year, and tears of thanks.
We will never be able to thank you all for the support that you have given our family this year. We will continue with PatPat's Hats, so that we can continue to spread our thanks and our joy for this healthy little boy.
