I came across this phrase while re-visiting a favorite book this weekend. It made me think about Patrick, and all of the young kids that are dealing with Childhood Cancer. We all sat there crying ad fearful about what he was about to endure through chemo treatments.
I'm sure Patrick was scared, but he had no idea about what COULD have been. He knew he had a boo boo on his head. He knew that he had to get "tubey," He knew that when he got Tubey, he couldn't take a bath, he knew that he had to get a "hug" from the nurse (his blood pressure).
Patrick has no idea what cancer is. To him, this is his life, for all he knows every kid goes through this.
I'm not sure where I am going with this at all, but it has been in my head all weekend. I couldn't stop thinking about it.
