Help us Spread Warmth
Our family has so much to be thankful for, most importantly we are thankful for all of you. You bring so much joy into our lives by helping us spread warmth to children who need it.
Recently I sent some hats to a shelter here in Boston with a co-worker. There are a number of toddlers in the shelter with their mothers right now. When she gave the hats to the staff, they were overwhelmed with how beautiful the hats were, and they were so joyful as they decided which hat would go to each child. The staff is quite confident that these hats will the first "new" hat for most of these children, and for their mothers that is such a wonderful gift.
This is what we do here, we create memories, we spread warmth, we spread joy. It's amazing how something as simple as a hat can do this.
While we wish it were free to accomplish all of these wonderful things, it does cost some money. Our most expensive task is probably shipping. We recently shipped hats up to Canada, and we get individual requests from parents in a regular basis. We also have to prepare and store all of the hats. While MANY of you GRACISOUSLY send us storage bags with your hats (you are awesome) we do need to purchase them. Also, Facebook has recently made some changes, and they are going to be requiring more paid posts (more on that later, this is about good news)
So, I did start a Go Fund Me Campaign, in hopes that we can get some help to assist us with these costs. We figured it costs us about $5 to donate a single hat. If you have the ability to support us, it would be amazing. If you do not have the funds available, if you can share this post with your friends and family, we would be incredibly appreciative.
