I am shocked. For over a week, I had no knitting with me. I would get to the train, and reach into my bag and it wasn't there. I would get home from work, and I would try and pick up my knitting, and I just couldn'tale myself knit. I wish I could put my finger on it, I just couldn't.
So on Friday, with a cocktail and television, I cast on a super simple hat. I found yarn that had been in my stash, and cast on 80 stitches. The border was in seed stitch (my least favorite stitch)... But it looked perfect.
I took it to the beach for some fresh air.
I found another skein of yarn in hopes of adding bobbles, but bobbles weren't happening. So I tried stripes. I brought it for a visit with a friend (she just finished a tri-athalon. There was reason to celebrate with beer and yarn.
Today, it came for a ride on the train.
And on the train ride home, it was finished.. The journey of a hat.
The yarn is knit-picks shine http://www.knitpicks.com/yarns/Shine_Sport_Yarn__D5420122.html
I love the yarn. It's soft, cotton, wonderful colors, beautiful stitch definition. It's lovely. It's also washable (a magic word here at PatPat's Hats)
